Originally from south Louisiana, Christy Oldham, 39, relocated to Los Angeles and co-founded Mercury Rising Films in 2001. She produced its first feature film, 'Cain & Abel', bringing the under-ground hit comedy into worldwide profitable distribution while also playing lead actress and assistant directing.

Christy then penned the script and produced the award-winning dark comedy, 'Barracuda', which she also stars in. Shot in her hometown and Los Angeles, 'Barracuda' is currently screening on the 2011-2012 film festival circuit and has recieved 3 Best Picture Awards. Look for Christy on the 2012-2013 Horror Film Festival circuit in the supernatural feature thriller, 'The Legend of Black Annie', a CorMarAnt Films and Mercury Rising Films production, written and co-directed by Terrence Flack and Shane Woodson. She plays lead actress.

She is also a member of the Acquistions Program at the 2012 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

She resides in Studio City, California, and is a practicing Yogi and Buddhist.
