The TeamJOSEPH W. OGLESBY
He received his latest Pulitzer nomination (by the Kentucky Author Forum) for his play "The Dodge." His first Pulitzer nomination was for his newspaper article "A Profile of Hatred." Oglesby has authored 14 novels, including "The Devil's Disciple" (Bladkompaniet A.S.), "Ghost Riders of the Staked Plains" (Tower) and "The Fires Down Below" (Orpheus). His articles have appeared in a wide variety of national magazines and large circulation newspapers, including "The Writer", "Woman's Day", "Class", "The Wall Street Journal", "The Chicago Sun-Times", "Fate", and "The Writer's Journal." Under his pen-name Mike "Lucky" English, he's a regular contributor to the nation's leading thoroughbred-racing publications, such as "American Turf Monthly" and "Daily Racing Form." He is a member of the Authors Guild, the Authors Legacy Society, Mystery Writers of America and the National Book Critics Circle. His biography appears in "Who's Who in America", "Who's Who in the World" and "Contemporary Authors." Oglesby's great-great aunt, Mary Perkins Oglesby, was D.W. Griffith's mother. Oglesby's son Joshua Woodson Oglesby (Shane Woodson) is a Hollywood actor, writer, director and producer and is a member of Equity, SAG and AFTRA.
